The incubator now holds the last batch of eggs we will try to hatch this year. This batch of eggs is the replacement order sent by the hatchery after the last batch was so delayed in arriving.
They sent a tracking number for the box and I had been checking on it, daily. Last night, it showed the box was in Fairbanks. When there was no phone call in the morning, I decided to head over to the Post Office to see if it was really there. By pure luck, I was able pick it up before it was put into a vehicle for delivery to the house.
Once, again, the hatchery did not label the box in a way the Post Office recognizes as hatching eggs that should be held for pickup. I think we will not order eggs from this hatchery in the future.
